Our client is a leading manufacturer of highly engineered electronic systems supporting aerospace, defense, and advanced technology applications. Their products operate in some of the world's most demanding environments, where reliability, precision, and performance are essential.
They are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support the production and continuous improvement of complex electronic products in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated technologies while partnering closely with engineering, quality, and operations teams to solve challenging manufacturing problems and drive operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Lead manufacturing process improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, yield, throughput, and cost reduction
- Provide day-to-day manufacturing support and troubleshoot production challenges on complex electronic assemblies
- Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodologies
- Support new product introductions (NPI) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) activities
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, process flows, and production procedures
- Analyze manufacturing data and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations teams to optimize manufacturing performance
- Participate in nonconformance reviews and corrective action processes
- Evaluate manufacturing methods, tooling, equipment, and process capabilities
- Mentor junior engineers and serve as a technical resource across the organization
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline
- 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Must be a US citizen.
- Experience supporting complex electronics, electromechanical, or highly regulated manufacturing environments
- Strong background in root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and Lean manufacturing principles
- Ability to analyze data and make fact-based decisions
Preferred Experience
We are especially interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:
- RF electronics manufacturing
- Microwave products and assemblies
- Aerospace electronics
- Defense electronics
- High-reliability electronic systems
- Semiconductor manufacturing or related advanced manufacturing environments
- AS9100, ISO 9001, MIL-STD, or other regulated quality systems
