Senior CNC Programmer

A global manufacturer of high-performance engineered components used in some of the world's most demanding applications, is looking for a Senior CNC Programmer in the greater Philadelphia area to play a critical role in driving innovation, automation, and manufacturing excellence.

You'll have the opportunity to influence manufacturing strategy, implement cutting-edge machining technologies, optimize production processes, support new product launches, and mentor the next generation of programmers.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and optimize CNC programs for advanced 3, 4, and 5-axis machining centers and CNC lathes using Mastercam.
  • Create efficient machining strategies that maximize throughput, reduce cycle times, and improve overall manufacturing performance.
  • Design custom fixtures, tooling solutions, and machining processes to support new and existing products.
  • Partner closely with machinists and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot programming and production issues on the shop floor.
  • Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) initiatives and collaborate on New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on quality, efficiency, automation, and operational excellence.
  • Work with software vendors and post-processor developers to streamline programming workflows and improve machine performance.
  • Evaluate, specify, and implement new CNC equipment, tooling, and manufacturing technologies.
  • Program and support automated manufacturing systems, including robotics, cobots, and part-handling equipment.
  • Serve as a technical leader and mentor for programmers, operators, and manufacturing personnel.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of CNC programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency with Mastercam and G-Code programming.
  • Experience programming CNC mills and lathes, including 4-axis and 5-axis machining.
  • Deep understanding of machining processes, tooling, cutting parameters, and machine capabilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Experience with plastics.
  • Experience optimizing machining processes for quality, cycle time, and productivity improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to manufacturing support.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related technical degree.
  • Experience with Vericut and SolidWorks.
  • Experience supporting automation, robotics, or lights-out manufacturing environments.
