Sr. Supply Planning Manager
A leading packaging manufacturer is seeking a Senior Supply Planning Manager to lead its mid- to long-range supply planning function and play a key leadership role in the organization's Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process. This is a strategic, forward-looking role focused on the 18-24 month through 4-5 year planning horizon by shaping capacity, inventory, and supply strategies that support long-term growth rather than day-to-day execution. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can balance service, inventory, capacity, and cost objectives across a complex manufacturing network while partnering closely with operations, procurement, logistics, and commercial teams.
Responsibilities
- Own the mid- to long-term supply plan, developing capacity and supply strategies that anticipate future demand and enable sustainable growth.
- Translate long-range demand forecasts into feasible multi-year supply and capacity roadmaps, driving alignment throughout the S&OP/IBP process.
- Model longer-horizon supply-demand scenarios and provide recommendations that balance inventory, service, and cost tradeoffs over time.
- Develop forward-looking inventory strategies, capacity plans, and risk mitigation approaches to support business objectives across the planning horizon.
- Partner with manufacturing, sourcing, logistics, and commercial teams to ensure long-range plans are executable and aligned to strategy.
- Champion process improvements, planning best practices, and digital transformation initiatives, including advanced planning system implementations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related discipline; MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in supply planning, production planning, or broader supply chain leadership, with an emphasis on strategic / long-range planning.
- Deep knowledge of S&OP/IBP processes and mid- to long-term supply planning methodologies.
- Experience with enterprise planning tools such as SAP IBP, APO, Kinaxis, Oracle, OMP, or similar platforms.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with experience managing complex, multi-site supply chains.
- Ability to travel approximately 15%.
