Supply Chain Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and demand planning.
  • Manage and develop supplier relationships-domestic and international-with an emphasis on Mandarin-speaking suppliers and manufacturing partners.
  • Plan and coordinate the sourcing of auto parts, marine components, or machinery-related products.
  • Implement supply chain strategies to improve lead times, reduce costs, and enhance reliability.
  • Analyze data to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and prevent shortages or overstock situations.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, sales, and service teams to support business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with trade regulations, shipping requirements, and quality standards.
  • Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to streamline operations.

Qualifications

  • Required: Fluency in Mandarin and English (written and spoken).
  • 5+ years of supply chain management experience, preferably in:
    • Automotive/aftermarket parts,
    • Maritime maintenance or marine/boating parts, or
    • Machinery/equipment manufacturing and distribution.
  • Proven experience managing international suppliers and cross-border logistics.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, part specifications, and technical product lifecycles.
  • Proficiency with supply chain and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience dealing with Chinese manufacturing partners or overseas factories.
  • Knowledge of maritime or automotive regulatory requirements.
  • Background in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or quality systems.
