Supply Chain Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and demand planning.
- Manage and develop supplier relationships-domestic and international-with an emphasis on Mandarin-speaking suppliers and manufacturing partners.
- Plan and coordinate the sourcing of auto parts, marine components, or machinery-related products.
- Implement supply chain strategies to improve lead times, reduce costs, and enhance reliability.
- Analyze data to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, sales, and service teams to support business goals.
- Ensure compliance with trade regulations, shipping requirements, and quality standards.
- Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to streamline operations.
Qualifications
- Required: Fluency in Mandarin and English (written and spoken).
- 5+ years of supply chain management experience, preferably in:
- Automotive/aftermarket parts,
- Maritime maintenance or marine/boating parts, or
- Machinery/equipment manufacturing and distribution.
- Proven experience managing international suppliers and cross-border logistics.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, part specifications, and technical product lifecycles.
- Proficiency with supply chain and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience dealing with Chinese manufacturing partners or overseas factories.
- Knowledge of maritime or automotive regulatory requirements.
- Background in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or quality systems.
