About the Opportunity
A well-established food manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations within a high-volume production facility. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, supporting production goals, and fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise maintenance technicians to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives.
- Plan, assign, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime.
- Prioritize and schedule maintenance work orders and repair requests to support production requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, completed repairs, and work areas to ensure safe work practices and high-quality workmanship.
- Train, coach, and develop maintenance team members while maintaining training documentation and supporting skill development programs.
- Partner with production and plant leadership to drive equipment reliability, food safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience, including at least 2 years in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repair, and diagnostic skills.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience within maintenance operations preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and varying shifts, while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
