As the Senior Sales Manager for China, you will lead the strategic growth of the group's power generator business across one of China's most dynamic industrial and commercial hubs. This role demands a results-driven leader to expand market share in backup, prime, and hybrid power solutions, drive distributor excellence, and deliver sustainable revenue growth. You will collaborate closely with the China Sales Director to align regional tactics with national strategies while addressing South China's unique energy demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Leadership & Revenue Growth Channel Management & Partner Development
- Optimise a distributor/dealer network across China including South China, ensuring compliance with pricing, technical standards, and service SLAs.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews to drive partner performance and resolve conflicts.
- Key Account & Project Sales
- Directly manage relationships with strategic clients
- Lead tender responses for large-scale projects (e.g., backup power for data centres).
- Team Leadership & Coaching
- Provide ongoing coaching on consultative selling, competitive positioning, and technical product expertise.
- Market Intelligence & Adaptation
- Monitor regulatory shifts (e.g., emissions controls, green energy initiatives).
- Collaborate with Engineering to tailor products for China's operational challenges (e.g., typhoon-resistant designs, high-temperature performance).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
Qualifications
- Bachelors in mechanical/electrical engineering or business
- 8+ years in power generation/heavy machinery sales especially in gensets is a must
- Technical knowledge of gensets specs and systems
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese is a must
