Location: Lawrence, KS (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
Reports To: Vice President of Supply Chain

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Supply Chain Analyst to join a growing manufacturing organization based in Lawrence, KS. This role will support multiple manufacturing and distribution sites by analyzing supply chain performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and driving data-driven decision-making across planning, inventory, procurement, and logistics functions.

This position is ideal for an analytical professional with 2-5 years of supply chain experience who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is looking for significant career growth and development opportunities. The Supply Chain Analyst will work directly with senior leadership, including the Vice President of Supply Chain, and play a key role in optimizing supply chain operations across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze supply chain performance metrics including inventory levels, service levels, forecast accuracy, transportation costs, and supplier performance.
  • Support multi-site supply chain operations by identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPIs to provide actionable insights to leadership teams.
  • Partner with Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Operations teams to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective actions related to inventory discrepancies, stockouts, excess inventory, and operational inefficiencies.
  • Assist with demand planning, inventory optimization, and capacity planning initiatives.
  • Evaluate supply chain processes and recommend continuous improvement opportunities across facilities.
  • Support strategic projects including network optimization, inventory reduction, cost savings initiatives, and supply chain transformation efforts.
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across ERP and supply chain systems.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Planning, Procurement, Logistics, or Supply Chain Analytics.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Experience supporting or analyzing operations across multiple sites or facilities.
  • Advanced proficiency with PowerBi, Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable business recommendations.

Preferred

  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Exposure to inventory management, demand planning, production planning, or logistics analytics.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools.
  • Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma experience.
