Director of Procurement

The Director of Procurement oversees strategic sourcing, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role requires expertise in healthcare procurement and strong leadership to drive cost-effective operations across multiple sites.

The Director of Procurement will be Responsible for the Follow:

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies and optimize supply chain performance in alignment with Global procurement and with company objectives.
  • Lead efforts to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation.
  • Focus on developing and maintaining long-term relationships with Suppliers to meet profitability and customer satisfaction goals in alignment with global procurement strategies.
  • Assess supply & supplier risk mitigation through continuous research and communication with various stakeholders
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance and address any issues that arise to minimize risk.
  • Define processes for the efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods
  • Oversee the procurement budget, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team

The Director of Procurement Should Have the Following Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of procurement experience within Pharma or Healthcare
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, MSOffice, SAP
  • Team management - Ability to manage teams and collaborate cross-functionally.

Salary: $175,000 - $195,000

Location: Suffolk County, Long Island
