Maintenance Supervisor
Summary
DSJ Global is partnered with a high-volume building materials manufacturer seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for a facility located outside of Montgomery, Alabama. This individual will lead a maintenance team in a continuous manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on safety, reliability, equipment performance, employee development, and operational excellence. The role works closely with plant and operations leadership to drive improvements in maintenance, production, quality, compliance, and overall facility performance while supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a maintenance team within a continuous manufacturing environment.
- Drive a strong safety culture through employee engagement, accountability, training, and hazard mitigation.
- Coordinate maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability, production uptime, quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Support production operations by optimizing maintenance processes and equipment performance.
- Develop team members through coaching, performance management, training, and skill development initiatives.
- Promote employee ownership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Monitor maintenance workmanship and provide technical guidance to maximize productivity and effectiveness.
- Generate reports, maintain maintenance records, and perform data entry utilizing maintenance systems.
- Collaborate with plant leadership to support site objectives and long-term business goals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
- Experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Ability to lead teams, prioritize work, and drive results in a fast-paced industrial setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Maintenance planning and scheduling experience.
- Ability to read and interpret structural blueprints and hydraulic schematics.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Background in wood products, lumber, sawmill, or related manufacturing industries.
