Supply Chain Director, APAC
This role leads end‑to‑end supply chain operations-including procurement, planning, manufacturing coordination, logistics, and distribution-with a strong focus on regional logistics optimisation, cross‑border integration, and operational excellence. The objective is to build a resilient, efficient, and scalable supply chain to support the company's growth ambitions across the region.
Key Responsibilities
1. Regional Supply Chain Strategy
- Define and drive the APAC supply chain strategy aligned with global objectives
- Enhance agility, resilience, and cost competitiveness across the region
- Partner closely with commercial, operations, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless execution
2. Regional Logistics & Network Optimisation (Core Focus)
- Lead and optimise end‑to‑end logistics operations across APAC, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution
- Design and continuously improve regional logistics network strategies, balancing cost, lead time, service levels, and sustainability
- Drive efficiencies in cross-border logistics, trade flows, and multi-country distribution models
- Optimise Incoterms strategies and manage complex project-based shipments
- Establish best practices and standardisation across markets to improve consistency and scalability
3. Cross-Border Collaboration & Integration
- Drive strong collaboration across countries to ensure integrated supply chain planning, sourcing, and logistics execution
- Strengthen coordination between regional and global teams to enable seamless operations
- Lead regional initiatives such as new market or team setup (e.g. Malaysia) and ensure full alignment with global supply chain frameworks
4. Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
- Oversee sourcing activities aligned with global procurement strategy
- Build and manage strategic supplier partnerships focusing on quality, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Lead negotiations, supplier development, and risk mitigation strategies
5. Performance Management & Analytics
- Define and monitor key logistic and supply chain KPIs (e.g. OTIF, inventory turns, logistics cost ratio)
- Leverage data analytics to optimise network performance and improve decision-making
- Provide actionable insights to senior leadership to support strategic planning
6. Digitalisation & Systems
- Drive digital transformation initiatives across supply chain and logistics functions
- Implement and optimise systems (e.g. SAP, advanced planning tools, transport management systems)
- Enhance real-time visibility, tracking, and predictive analytics capabilities
7. Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify and mitigate risks across sourcing, logistics, and cross-border operations
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and safety standards
- Manage geopolitical, regulatory, and supplier-related risks within the region
8. Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Build and lead high-performing, regionally distributed teams
- Develop strong logistics and supply chain capabilities across markets
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
Qualifications & Experience
Experience
- 10+ years of progressive supply chain experience, including strong exposure to regional logistics and distribution networks
- Proven leadership experience managing multi-country supply chain operations in APAC
- Background in industrial machinery, discrete manufacturing, or similar sectors preferred
- Demonstrated success in logistics optimisation, network design, and cross-border operations
Skills & Expertise
- Deep knowledge of APAC logistics infrastructure, trade regulations, and cross-border dynamics
- Strong expertise in logistics network optimisation and cost management
- Proven experience with S&OP, integrated planning, and supply chain digitalisation
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-cultural leadership capabilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven approach
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
Additional Requirements
- Fluent in English; Mandarin or other Asian language is an advantage
- Strong integrity and compliance mindset (aligned with FCPA standards)
- Willingness to travel up to across APAC
