Sr Sourcing Analyst - MRO & Safety

A leading global industrial manufacturer is seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst to join its corporate sourcing team. This influential role is responsible for developing and executing category management and sourcing strategies for MRO, safety, C-Class materials, and other general indirect categories.

As an individual contributor, the analyst will collaborate with stakeholders across multiple business units in North America to drive cost savings, enhance service delivery, and improve quality through strategic sourcing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

      • Lead and implement category plans and sourcing strategies for MRO and general indirect categories.
      • Apply a structured sourcing process from business case development to strategy execution.
      • Facilitate and lead cross-functional stakeholder councils to ensure alignment and execution of sourcing strategies.
      • Analyze market trends and upstream cost drivers to inform sourcing decisions and risk mitigation.
      • Define and track category KPIs and supplier performance through scorecards and business reviews.
      • Design control plans to measure strategy utilization and financial impact, recommending corrective actions as needed.
      • Conduct supplier business reviews in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
      • Establish benchmarks and track success metrics such as cost savings, lead times, and process improvements.

Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
      • 2-3 years of sourcing experience with a focus on MRO and indirect plant services.
      • Willingness to work on-site at the corporate campus with some scheduling flexibility.
      • Ability to travel up to 25%.

      • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
      • Strong understanding of cost drivers and market dynamics in industrial goods.
      • Skilled in developing data-driven business cases and influencing decision-making.
      • Demonstrated success in end-to-end category management and cost reduction initiatives.
      • Proficient in market bench marking, cost modeling, and budget forecasting.
      • Strong project management capabilities, including planning, scheduling, and tracking.
      • Experience in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
      • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage across departments such as Operations, Finance, Legal, and HR.
      • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
