About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead our seafood processing operations. In this role, you will oversee production employees, ensure food safety and quality standards are met, and support daily workflow in a high-paced environment. This position is ideal for a leader who thrives on the production floor and can motivate teams while maintaining safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise 2nd shift production team members to meet daily processing and packaging targets.
- Maintain strict compliance with food safety, HACCP, SQF, and FDA/USDA regulations.
- Monitor workflows, equipment performance, and production lines to ensure optimal throughput.
- Train, coach, and develop team members to promote a culture of quality, safety, and accountability.
- Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate daily production goals.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to resolve production issues.
- Monitor labor needs, assign tasks, and ensure accurate timekeeping.
- Maintain documentation including production reports, safety checklists, and quality records.
- Ensure a clean, safe working environment following company sanitation and safety guidelines.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in seafood processing, food manufacturing, or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP, GMPs, SQF preferred).
- Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced production setting.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in cold, wet environments typical of seafood processing.
- Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to [X lbs] as needed.
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus, but not required.
