3PL Logistics Manager (m/f/d)
A leading international industrial manufacturing organisation is looking to appoint a Senior 3PL Logistics Manager to drive strategic logistics initiatives across its European network.
This role sits at the centre of global supply chain operations, with responsibility for managing key logistics partners, delivering end-to-end transformation projects, and optimising distribution performance in a complex, multi-site environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic, cross-functional logistics projects across transport, customs, packaging, and network design
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle management of 3PL/4PL providers, including tendering, selection, implementation, and hypercare
- Act as a key interface between logistics, procurement, finance, and operational business units
- Identify and deliver cost optimisation and network consolidation opportunities across multiple business units
- Define and monitor KPIs and SLAs, ensuring strong service delivery and continuous improvement
- Drive initiatives across CO₂ reporting, TMS optimisation, and compliance (including customs and dangerous goods)
- Lead contract negotiations and pricing discussions with logistics partners at a senior level
- Manage risk, change, and crisis scenarios, ensuring business continuity across the logistics network
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years' experience in strategic logistics or 3PL management, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Proven expertise in tender processes, supplier evaluation, and contract management
- Strong experience working with international 3PL providers and cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., procurement, legal, finance, IT)
- Solid understanding of business case development, service specifications, and logistics cost structures
- Fluent in German and English
- Willingness to travel internationally
