We're working with a fast-growing logistics provider headquartered in Rotterdam to support the expansion of their commercial team. This is a unique opportunity for a commercially driven professional to shape their role based on strengths - whether that's new business development, key account management, or a hybrid of both.
About the Role
The company is expanding its footprint in contract logistics and ocean freight, and is looking for someone who can help drive commercial growth across these areas. The title and scope of the role will be tailored to the candidate's strengths.
What You'll Be Doing
- Building and managing relationships with international clients across various sectors.
- Supporting the growth of the ocean freight department, including identifying new trade lanes, optimising routing, and developing carrier relationships.
- Collaborating with warehousing and operations teams to deliver integrated logistics solutions.
- Leading or supporting RFQ processes, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations
- Representing the company at trade shows and industry events to drive brand visibility and pipeline growth.
What We're Looking For
- Proven commercial experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain
- Strong understanding of ocean freight, warehousing, and value-added logistics services
- Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, customer service, and leadership teams
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a strong advantage, and professional Mandarin is highly valued
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
