Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

We're seeking a seasoned Manufacturing Engineering Lead to drive innovation in both interior and exterior lighting systems. You'll be at the forefront of launching new products, developing manufacturing processes, and collaborating across engineering, quality, and operations teams to bring visionary lighting solutions to life.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a key member of our engineering team, you will:
- Lead manufacturing engineering efforts for new product launches.
- Conduct feasibility studies and design-for-manufacturing reviews.
- Develop andoptimize processes for:
- Plastic injection molding
- Ultrasonic/vibration welding
- Lens bonding and sealing
- Thermal management
- Automated assembly and testing
- Create process flows, line layouts, and equipment specifications.
- Oversee validations (Run at Rate, PV builds, capability studies, Gage R&R).
- Support tooling and fixture design for complex lighting components.
- Manage equipment sourcing, commissioning, and supplier coordination.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and lean manufacturing improvements.
- Participate in APQP, PFMEA, PPAP, and internal audits.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, ideally in automotive lighting or automated assembly.
- Hands-on experience launching new products in Tier-1 or Tier-2 automotive environments.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (CATIA, SolidWorks), MS Office, and statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab).
- Familiarity with LED lighting assembly, optical alignment, and thermal management is a plus.
- Knowledge of automotive OEM standards (Ford GPDS, GM GVDP, Honda SQAM) preferred.
