Senior Utilities Engineer
The Senior Production and Utilities Engineer is responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe operation of chemical manufacturing processes and associated utility systems. This role ensures optimal production performance, energy utilization, and compliance with environmental and safety regulations. The engineer will lead continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshoot complex process issues, and support capital projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations of production units and utility systems (e.g., steam, compressed air, cooling water).
- Monitor and optimize process parameters to improve yield, efficiency, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Analyze production data and generate performance reports.
- Support maintenance planning and execution for critical equipment.
- Participate in the design, commissioning, and startup of new equipment or systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing or a similar process industry.
- Strong knowledge of utility systems and process engineering principles.
- Proficiency in process simulation and data analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
