Area Manager
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Manager to lead the operations of one of our key manufacturing plants. This role is critical in driving operational excellence, ensuring high-quality production, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will bring strong international business acumen, proven lean manufacturing experience, and a hands-on leadership style to manage cross-functional teams and deliver results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the plant, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met.
- Lead and develop plant leadership teams to drive performance and accountability.
- Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with global teams to align operational strategies and share best practices.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and KPIs to ensure financial and operational targets are achieved.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production, maintenance, and logistics.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Foster a culture of engagement, teamwork, and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in the automotive components sector.
- Demonstrated success in plant management or multi-site operations leadership.
- Strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proven ability to work effectively in international environments and across cultures.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
