Assistant Plant Manager

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assisstant Plant Manager to support the daily operations of a dynamic manufacturing facility. This role partners closely with site leadership to ensure efficient production, adherence to safety and quality standards, and continuous improvement across departments. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in coordinating daily plant operations, including production flow, safety protocols, and quality assurance.
  • Facilitate communication between leadership and production teams to align goals and address operational challenges.
  • Support department supervisors in managing schedules, resolving bottlenecks, and optimizing workflow.
  • Collect and analyze performance metrics to support data-driven decision-making and improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts such as Lean and Six Sigma by organizing resources and tracking progress.
  • Participate in safety audits, incident follow-ups, and compliance activities.
  • Organize cross-functional meetings and manage follow-ups on key initiatives.
  • Assist with onboarding, training logistics, and performance tracking for plant personnel.
  • Monitor resource usage and support cost-efficiency strategies.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Business, or Operations Management preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, with exposure to operations coordination or supervisory roles.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience in electrical or heavy manufacturing environments is a plus.
