Automation Controls Engineer
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer with a strong background in PLC programming to join our dynamic engineering team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about automation, control systems, and continuous improvement in industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement PLC-based control systems for manufacturing and industrial automation projects.
- Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and ensure seamless integration of electrical and control systems.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including schematics, wiring diagrams, and control logic.
- Conduct system testing, debugging, and commissioning of automated equipment.
- Support ongoing maintenance and upgrades of existing control systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.
- Proficiency in ladder logic, function block diagrams, and structured text.
- Experience with HMI development and SCADA systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
- Experience with robotics, motion control, or vision systems.
- Knowledge of electrical panel design and layout.
