We are collaborating with a prominent global logistics organisation that plays a vital role in supporting the healthcare and life‑sciences sector. Known for their strong expertise in handling time‑ and temperature‑sensitive products, they provide reliable, compliant and highly specialised supply chain solutions for customers across the biopharma industry.

To continue strengthening their presence in the region, they are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager based in Barcelona, taking responsibility for growth and customer engagement across key markets in Spain.


About the Role

This position will focus on expanding the company's footprint in the Spanish market by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing strategic relationships and helping to shape tailored logistics solutions for customers with complex requirements. You will be central to understanding market dynamics, spotting commercial prospects and supporting long‑term client partnerships.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business development across Spain and support commercial expansion
  • Manage and develop relationships with both new and existing clients in the BioPharma landscape
  • Gain in‑depth insight into customers' operations, objectives and competitive environments
  • Build strong, trusted connections with decision makers and stakeholders
  • Promote the organisation's specialised logistics services and end‑to‑end capabilities
  • Contribute to marketing efforts, including events, campaigns and industry networking
  • Evaluate, prioritise and pursue commercial leads and new opportunities
  • Work closely with operational teams to align service delivery with customer needs
  • Support the creation of sophisticated, value‑driven logistics solutions
  • Monitor customer experience, quality levels and issue resolution
  • Identify potential risks and support mitigation planning
  • Track trends and emerging opportunities within the Spanish life‑sciences sector
  • Maintain oversight of the sales pipeline and key performance indicators

Requirements

  • Languages: Fluency in English and Spanish is essential
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years in business development, sales or account management
    • Experience selling healthcare/pharma logistics solutions
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience in logistics, transportation or life‑sciences is an advantage
  • Strong communication and presenting abilities
  • Highly customer‑oriented, proactive and able to work independently as well as collaboratively
