A leading international logistics provider is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its industrial projects division. This role is focused on developing commercial opportunities within the project cargo space, with a mix of hunting and account management responsibilities. The position is part of a strategic growth plan for next year and offers flexibility in location, with offices in Schiphol, Utrecht, and Eindhoven.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive business development efforts in project cargo logistics across the Netherlands and Belgium
- Engage with existing customers and identify new opportunities, particularly within mid-sized businesses
- Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders across industrial sectors
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored logistics solutions
- Prepare and present commercial proposals, manage negotiations, and support onboarding
- Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and internal strategy sessions
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or account management within freight forwarding or project cargo logistics
- Strong understanding of industrial logistics, including heavy lift and complex cargo movements
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and translate operational needs into commercial solutions
- Fluent in Dutch and English
- Fast learner with a consultative mindset and strong communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a cross-functional team
