DSJ Global have partnered with a fast‑growing, internationally minded food company specialising in high-quality products for the grocery, supermarket, and wider retail market. Known for its strong roots in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food culture, the business has built a loyal customer base across Europe by offering authentic, flavour‑rich products that meet the needs of both mainstream and ethnic retail channels.

We are on the search for Business Development Managers and Key Account Managers with a strong hunger and client management background within the food industry. The company are growing rapidly and are entering a new phase of growth.

Role Overview

Strong hunter mentality with relationship building at the forefront of importance. You'll carry strong commercial intuition, and hands-on experience managing grocery and retail accounts in Germany. You will be responsible for driving new business, strengthening existing partnerships, and maximising sales performance across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Account Growth

  • Identify, target, and acquire new retail and grocery customers across Germany.
  • Develop sales strategies to penetrate supermarket chains, wholesalers, discounters, ethnic retailers, and independent stores.
  • Own the full sales cycle from lead generation to negotiation, listing, and activation.
  • Expand distribution and visibility across assigned territories and channels.

Account Management

  • Manage and grow existing accounts through strong relationship building and data-driven category insights.
  • Conduct regular store visits, audits, and promotional activity checks.
  • Monitor performance, identify gaps, and develop action plans to improve availability and sales velocity.
  • Negotiate trading terms, pricing, promotions, and annual agreements.

Field Execution

  • Implement in-store execution plans, ensuring optimal product placement and compliance.
  • Coordinate with marketing and merchandising teams to maximise brand visibility.
  • Gather market intelligence on competitor activities, pricing, and consumer trends.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Provide weekly and monthly performance reports, forecasts, and market feedback.
  • Track KPIs including distribution, sales uplift, ROI on promotions, and new listings.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in FMCG food sales, preferably within grocery, supermarkets, or retail in Germany.
  • Proven track record of hunting and successfully opening new retail accounts.
  • Experience managing key accounts or regional independents.
  • Strong negotiation and commercial acumen.
  • Comfortable working field-based with frequent travel.
  • Self-starter with strong resilience, drive, and ambition.

Mandatory Languages

  • Turkish - fluent
  • German - fluent
  • English - fluent

(These languages are essential due to customer portfolio, internal communication, and cross-market coordination.)
