We are supporting a leading chemical manufacturing company in Germany that is looking to appoint a CAPEX Project Engineer to join its site‑based engineering team in Dormagen. This role sits within the CAPEX function and focuses on supporting capital projects.
The Role
As a CAPEX Project Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering capital projects with a primary technical focus on piping systems and heat exchangers. Working closely with cross‑functional site teams, you will help ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with technical, quality, and budgetary requirements. This is a hands‑on role within a chemical production environment, offering strong exposure to execution‑phase projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver CAPEX projects through the execution phase
- Oversee the technical implementation of projects across site operations
- Apply engineering expertise in piping and heat exchangers
- Coordinate with internal engineering, production, and maintenance teams
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and project budgets
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience planning and executing CAPEX projects
- 3-5 years' experience within the chemical or process industry
- Strong technical knowledge of piping and heat exchanger systems
- Previous onsite project engineering experience
- Fluency in German is essential
