We are a globally recognized FMCG company, known for our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence. Our Amsterdam office plays a key role in our European logistics operations, and we are seeking a strategic and experienced Category Lead to join our Procurement team.

Role Overview
As Category Lead - Logistics, you will be responsible for developing and executing the sourcing strategy for transportation, warehousing, and distribution services across Europe. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive cost efficiencies, enhance service levels, and support sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the logistics category strategy across multiple European markets.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including contract negotiations and performance reviews.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Finance, and Sustainability teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service quality.
  • Stay informed on market trends and innovations to ensure competitive advantage.
  • Drive cross-functional projects and support risk mitigation efforts.

Candidate Profile

  • Extensive experience in logistics procurement within FMCG or a similarly fast-paced industry.
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication capabilities.
  • Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to execution.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch or other European languages are an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
