An insurance company is looking to hire a Category Manager - Professional Services based out of Alpharetta, GA. This position is hybrid, on-site 3 days a week and work from home 2 days per week.

The Procurement Category Manager for Corporate Services is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies across key indirect spend categories, including Marketing, Facilities Management, Consulting, Human Resources, and Professional Services. This role ensures cost optimization, supplier performance, and risk mitigation while aligning procurement initiatives with business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Category Strategy Development:

    • Define and implement category strategies for Marketing, Facilities, HR, Consulting, and Professional Services.
    • Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and supplier segmentation to identify opportunities for cost savings and innovation.
  • Sourcing & Negotiation:

    • Lead RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions.
    • Drive competitive bidding and leverage strategic sourcing methodologies.
  • Supplier Relationship Management:

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
    • Monitor supplier KPIs and manage risk across the supply base.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Partner with internal stakeholders (Marketing, HR, Facilities, Finance) to understand requirements and deliver value-added solutions.
    • Act as a trusted advisor on procurement best practices and compliance.
  • Cost Optimization & Risk Management:

    • Identify cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality or service levels.
    • Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:

    • Utilize spend analytics to track performance and identify trends.
    • Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership on category performance and savings initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement or category management, with a focus on corporate services.
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa) and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Knowledge of market trends in Marketing, HR, Facilities, and Professional Services.
