Role Overview
The Category Manager will develop and execute category strategies, optimize product assortments, and collaborate closely with retailer partners and internal teams. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capability with strategic thinking and stakeholder influence.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and implement category strategies across designated product lines
- Analyze market data, shopper insights, and competitive trends to identify growth opportunities
- Manage assortments, planograms, and promotional planning
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, supply chain, and retail partners
- Prepare and deliver category reviews and business updates
- Optimize pricing, promotions, and product lifecycle management
Qualifications
- 3-7 years of experience in category management, trade marketing, or consumer insights within FMCG
- Strong experience with syndicated data tools such as Nielsen, IRI, or Spins
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to convert data into compelling commercial insights
- Highly organized, proactive, and passionate about shopper and market dynamics
