CI Manufacturing Engineer

A leading food manufacturing company is looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer that thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment. This role will oversee project-based improvements and cross-functional teams to deliver measurable, sustainable results while helping embed a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support high-impact continuous improvement initiatives aligned to plant and business KPIs.
  • Apply Lean, DMAIC, and problem-solving methodologies to address operational challenges and reduce losses.
  • Partner closely with engineering, operations, and CI resources to identify opportunities, prioritize projects, and track results.
  • Develop, maintain, audit, and continuously improve the site's CI operating system.
  • Drive deployment of annual improvement targets through structured problem-solving, visual management, loss control meetings, and strategy deployment tools (e.g., A3s).
  • Facilitate and participate in cross-functional Kaizen and improvement events, driving both incremental and breakthrough results.
  • Share best practices and collaborate with continuous improvement resources across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Support additional improvement initiatives and responsibilities as business needs evolve.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Science, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Exposure to Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or TPM efforts strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing and CI methodologies, with the ability to apply them in real-world settings.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret data and make sound business decisions.
