Position Summary

Our Client is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to support manufacturing operations by producing high-precision components used in a variety of industrial applications. This position is responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining CNC equipment while ensuring products meet established quality and dimensional standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working with both CNC and manual machining equipment and possess a strong mechanical aptitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review engineering drawings, job specifications, and work instructions to determine machining requirements and production methods.
  • Set up, program, and operate CNC machining centers and turning equipment to manufacture precision components.
  • Monitor machining operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain part accuracy and product quality.
  • Perform a variety of machining activities including drilling, boring, milling, turning, threading, and finishing operations.
  • Inspect completed work to verify conformance with dimensional and quality requirements.
  • Troubleshoot machining challenges and recommend corrective actions to improve efficiency and production performance.
  • Follow all applicable safety guidelines, operating procedures, and quality standards.
  • Complete routine equipment inspections and perform basic preventative maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate production records and communicate work status, issues, and shift updates through company systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing personnel to resolve technical and production-related concerns.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience operating CNC machining equipment in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Working knowledge of CNC programming, setup, and machine operation.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to utilize production-related software systems.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing within a team-oriented environment.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain standing and active for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for operating equipment, handling materials, and performing inspections.
  • Ability to bend, reach, crouch, stoop, and move throughout a manufacturing environment.
  • Capability to safely lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Sufficient visual acuity to inspect parts, interpret measurements, and safely operate machinery.

Preferred Experience

  • Hands-on experience with CNC mills, lathes, and related machining equipment.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and quality inspection techniques.
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
