Role: Commodity Manager- Electronic Components
Compensation: $135,000 to $150,000 plus bonus
Work Model: fully on-site 5 days a week; after 4 months you will receive 40 remote days per year.
This role focuses on developing supply chain strategies, managing executive-level supplier relationships, and ensuring alignment between internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver high-quality, on-time products.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute commodity strategies to improve flexibility and profitability
- Supplier Management: Select, manage, and develop key electronic component suppliers; strengthen supply chain performance and reduce risk
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering and business teams to align sourcing strategies with product development needs
- Cost & Capacity Optimization: Drive cost reduction and capacity strategies through value analysis and inventory optimization
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain senior-level supplier relationships
- Performance Monitoring: Track supplier performance and ensure service level expectations are met
- Issue Resolution: Address supply chain challenges including logistics, material availability, and supplier capability
- New Product Support: Support sourcing for new products and emerging technologies
- Forecasting: Collaborate on demand forecasting and supplier alignment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, business, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in electronic components, including 3+ years in commodity management
- Ability to travel ~20%
