Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Continuous Improvement Lead to join our team at a heavy industrial manufacturing facility in the Greater Houston Area. This is an exciting opportunity to drive process improvement, optimize operational efficiency, and lead lean manufacturing initiatives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
As the Continuous Improvement Lead, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing strategies to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and drive sustainable change across all production areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing facility, including Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to identify process inefficiencies and develop action plans to address them.
- Drive the implementation of Lean principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping) to improve workflow, reduce lead times, and increase throughput.
- Use data-driven analysis to support decision-making, track performance metrics, and monitor progress towards goals.
- Develop and deliver training sessions on Lean tools and continuous improvement practices for employees at all levels.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for manufacturing issues.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting employee engagement and encouraging innovative ideas.
- Work with senior leadership to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and goals for continuous improvement efforts.
- Support the implementation of new technologies and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a continuous improvement role within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles, tools, and techniques (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, etc.).
- Strong background in process improvement and the ability to drive change across teams and departments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to coach and mentor team members on continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Experience with manufacturing ERP systems and data analysis tools.
