We're looking for a hands-on, proactive Continuous Improvement Manager to lead Operational Excellence initiatives for a manufacturing site. In this role, you'll drive a culture of continuous improvement, optimize processes, and partner with plant leadership to enhance productivity, quality, and overall performance.
The Continuous Improvement Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead all continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives across the site
- Drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) KPIs
- Build a strong continuous improvement culture through leadership, coaching, and effective communication
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement Lean, Six Sigma, and best practice solutions
- Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and root-cause analysis
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance
- Track and report key performance metrics and improvement progress to leadership
- Standardize processes and ensure sustainable implementation of improvements
- Lead structured problem-solving using A3, DMAIC, and 8D methodologies
- Support digital transformation and data-driven decision making initiatives
- Drive change management and ensure adoption across all shifts and teams
The ideal Continuous Improvement Manager candidate will have the following skillset:
- Bachelor's degree required (Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field preferred)
- 3+ years of experience leading continuous improvement or operational excellence initiatives in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement tools
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Experience influencing teams and driving a culture of continuous improvement
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Preferred: Lean/Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt), experience in multi-shift manufacturing environments, and exposure to ERP systems or digital transformation initiatives
