Continuous Improvement Manager
Position Overview
A leading manufacturing organization is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to drive operational excellence initiatives across a complex production environment. This individual will serve as a hands-on change leader, partnering closely with site leadership and cross-functional teams to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Employee Engagement metrics. The role requires a strong presence on the manufacturing floor and a passion for building a sustainable culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
- Develop and coach hourly and salaried employees on Lean principles, problem-solving methodologies, and continuous improvement tools.
- Drive strategy deployment by translating business objectives into actionable improvement projects and roadmaps.
- Implement and sustain daily management systems, visual management tools, standard work, and accountability processes.
- Identify operational improvement opportunities and deliver measurable results in productivity, quality, cost reduction, and customer service.
- Lead cross-functional teams involving Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance.
- Monitor key performance indicators and communicate project outcomes to leadership.
- Benchmark and implement best practices to improve operational performance and sustain gains.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience leading Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, or related initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, Visual Management, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Experience facilitating cross-functional improvement projects with measurable business impact.
- Proven leadership, coaching, and change management skills.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master Black Belt certification.
- Experience in complex manufacturing, industrial, or engineered product environments.
- Track record of successfully driving cultural transformation and employee engagement initiatives.
