Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000 Base Salary
A leading food and beverage manufacturer is seeking a Controls Engineer to join its engineering team. This is a highly visible, hands-on position focused on plant-floor support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automated manufacturing processes.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, a passion for solving complex controls issues, and the ability to work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day controls and automation support for manufacturing operations.
- Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, VFD, and industrial network issues to minimize downtime.
- Program, modify, and maintain Allen-Bradley control systems.
- Support equipment upgrades, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with maintenance and production teams to identify and resolve recurring equipment issues.
- Improve system reliability, efficiency, and overall plant performance.
- Assist with commissioning, startup, and optimization of new equipment and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.
- Experience supporting controls and automation systems within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong Allen-Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting experience required.
- Experience with HMIs, VFDs, industrial communications, and process automation.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment in a live production environment.
- Food & beverage manufacturing experience preferred.
