Converting Supervisor
A leading corrugated packaging manufacturer is seeking a 3rd shift Converting Supervisor to join its team in Georgia. This is more than a production leadership position, it's an opportunity to play a key role in a facility focused on transformation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about developing people, driving results, and building a strong culture of safety and accountability.
The Converting Supervisor will be responsible for:
- Lead and support converting operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Coach, mentor, and develop hourly manufacturing employees to strengthen team performance.
- Drive proactive safety initiatives, hazard identification, and corrective action efforts.
- Champion waste reduction, equipment optimization, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally with maintenance, quality, and operations teams to achieve production and customer service goals.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, performance management, and employee development activities.
- Support facility improvement and transformation efforts through strong leadership and change management.
The Converting Supervisor should have the following qualifications:
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience within corrugated converting manufacturing.
- Strong ability to lead teams, build culture, and drive accountability in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience coaching, training, and developing hourly production employees.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Willingness to train on first shift and work any shift based on business needs.
- Experience in a union manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience with KIWI production systems, SQF, or BRC standards is a plus.
