Director of Demand Planning
Position Summary:
The Director of Demand Planning will lead the development, management, and execution of all demand planning and forecasting activities across the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep analytical skills and a collaborative mindset to drive consensus and accuracy in forecasting, ensuring product availability and optimizing inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the global demand planning process to produce accurate forecasts at multiple levels (SKU, product line, region, etc.).
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to gather input and align forecasts.
Develop and manage forecasting models using historical data, market trends, and statistical tools.
Identify demand trends, risks, and opportunities to proactively manage supply chain decisions.
Implement best practices and tools to improve forecast accuracy and efficiency.
Provide leadership, coaching, and development for the demand planning team.
Present key planning metrics and insights to senior leadership.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the S&OP process.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Statistics, or related field (Master's preferred).
10+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience with demand planning software (e.g., SAP IBP, Oracle Demantra, Kinaxis, etc.).
Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of statistical forecasting methods.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in a fast-paced, global organization preferred.
