Director of GPO Contracts Ortho & Spine

Searching for an expert negotiator to manage the full sourcing lifecycle for National GPO Agreements regarding Ortho & Spine implant devices, ensuring best pricing and contract terms.

The role focuses on sourcing initiatives with medium to high complexity, risk, and sensitivity, overseeing a portfolio with an annual spend of $200m-$350m

The individual will negotiate contracts to ensure industry-leading pricing and terms, improve contract portfolios, and yield strong outcomes. (National Accounts, Proposal bidding, GPO Buy in and incoroporating pricing)

  • Responsible for negotiating industry leading national agreements for the group purchasing organization in the area of Surgery. Objective is to ensure best in class industry pricing and contract terms and conditions
  • Full responsibility for the sourcing process including market research, strategy development, RFI/RFP/Bid preparation, contract negotiations (pricing and terms), gaining consensus on award decisions, and launching the contracts.
  • Oversee supplier relationship during the sourcing process. Participate in supplier business reviews and review new products/technologies as they arise
  • Facilitate conversations with internal functional team during project kick-off to gather feedback, opinions, and alignment of resource needs to meet contracting initiative timelines.
  • Communication of bid process, negotiation status, agreement on terms, financial proposal concerns and other matters with supplier and internal team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree required (Supply Chain, Healthcare, Business, Finance)
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing and contract negotiation of national agreements.
  • Medical Device contracts (Ortho & Spine), preferred
  • Healthcare supply chain experience is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work onsite in Nashville, TN required.
