Director of Operational Excellence
A mid-size Electirical Manufacturing Company is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Operational Excellence to lead transformative initiatives across our manufacturing operations. This role will champion continuous improvement, drive Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and enhance our Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) standards. The ideal candidate will bring deep manufacturing expertise, strong leadership, and a passion for operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute Operational Excellence strategies aligned with business goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement Lean, Six Sigma, and automation initiatives.
- Drive Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) activities to ensure production scalability and efficiency.
- Oversee EH&S programs to maintain compliance and promote a culture of safety.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Development Operations, and Industrial Engineering teams to optimize processes.
- Mentor and coach teams on continuous improvement methodologies.
- Analyze performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure alignment of operational practices with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (strongly preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing, with front-line supervisory experience as a plus.
- Proven leadership with advanced interpersonal and supervisory skills.
- Self-directed, results-oriented, and team-focused.
- Six Sigma certification or significant project experience.
- Strong background in EH&S within a manufacturing setting.
