A leading packaging manufacturer is looking for a skilled leader to develop their procurement team as Director of Procurement. They will be responsible for strategic sourcing and procurement for raw materials and business services, contract negotiations, supplier management including risk management and compliance. The ideal candidate should have strong procurement experience of raw materials and business services within a manufacturing or packaging environment as well as the ability to build a high performing team. This position can sit out of their Ontario, California or Charlotte, NC office.

- Strategic sourcing and procurement of raw materials and services across the manufacturing business.
- Build strong supplier relationships to drive efficiency and ensure inventory.
- Evaluate supplier performance and develop plans to mitigate risk relating to disruptions or shortages.
- Negotiate contract terms to drive cost savings and ensure contracts meet company and regulatory compliance standards.
- Oversee contracts to ensure terms are adhered to by company and suppliers.
- Identify and mitigate sourcing and supplier risks.

- Bachelor's degree in related field, Master's preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement with 5+ years in a leadership/director role.
- Experience in a packaging or manufacturing environment.
- Supply Chain Certifications preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies and software.
- Keen analytical and negotiation skills.
