Purpose of the Role

The Director of Strategic Accounts is responsible for driving business growth within key home‑channel customers while leading and developing internal strategic account teams. This role acts as a trusted subject‑matter expert, manages the full product lifecycle, and ensures strong alignment across cross‑functional groups to achieve revenue and service goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow sales and strengthen relationships with strategic external customers
  • Develop cross‑functional strategies with sourcing, marketing, operations, customer service, and finance
  • Lead and motivate internal teams using strong industry knowledge and best practices
  • Manage pricing, proposals, presentations, agreements, and overall account strategy
  • Oversee project and product lifecycle activities, including claims, returns, and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain deep knowledge of client organizational structures, roles, and expectations
  • Measure, report, and adjust strategies to meet KPIs and sales targets
  • Continuously improve internal processes across sales, order management, claims, and communication
  • Communicate effectively and drive excellence in selling and project management
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed based on business priorities

Experience & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or business preferred
  • 5+ years of experience managing solution‑focused customer relationships, balancing growth and account management
  • Must have backgrounds in big‑box retailers, building materials distribution, or hard‑surface flooring
  • Willingness to travel nationally for customer meetings
  • Proficiency in professional communication, data analysis, and reporting
  • Dedicated vehicle required for transporting product samples and displays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to commute regularly to offices in Adairsville and Marietta, GA (rotating schedule)
