Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Category Management

  • Develop and execute a holistic procurement strategy across direct and indirect material categories, including APIs, excipients, packaging, contract manufacturing, and technical services.
  • Build and maintain a category management framework, including spend analysis, segmentation, risk assessment, and long‑term category roadmaps.
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to deliver cost optimization, supply resilience, and innovation opportunities.
  • Negotiate complex contracts, service agreements, and long‑term supply deals while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Drive supplier performance management, including scorecards, QBRs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Supply Chain Leadership

  • Oversee end‑to‑end supply planning, including forecasting, inventory optimization, and capacity alignment with business needs.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Quality, Operations, R&D, Finance, and Regulatory Affairs to ensure supply continuity and compliance.
  • Lead risk management initiatives, including supplier redundancy, geopolitical monitoring, and proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Implement best-in-class procurement and supply chain processes, digital tools, and analytics to enhance transparency and decision-making.

Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement and supply chain team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical supply chain or procurement leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success in category management, strategic sourcing, and supplier negotiations.
  • Strong knowledge of GxP, cGMP, and regulatory compliance in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of cost optimization and value creation through supplier partnerships.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

  • Master's degree (MBA or MS in Supply Chain).
  • Certifications such as CSCP, CPSM, or CIPS.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement platforms (e.g., Ariba, Coupa).
  • Global sourcing experience and knowledge of international supply markets.
