Director Supply Chain
Summary:
A leading healthcare organization is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Supply Chain to oversee materials management operations at one of its key facilities. This role is responsible for driving supply chain process improvements, ensuring regulatory compliance, and aligning supply strategies with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, analytical skills, and a background in healthcare supply chain operations.
*Please note, this role does require onsite presence in Shreveport, LA - however there are relocation and benefits packages available to subsidize any move.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support regional leadership in setting and executing supply chain strategy.
- Lead facility-based teams to implement clinical, operational, and financial improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and manage staff productivity and operational performance.
- Oversee logistics functions, including inventory control, vendor compliance, and service agreements.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OIG, and other regulatory requirements.
- Utilize ERP systems (e.g., Infor CloudSuite, Epic) to manage inventory and supply chain data.
- Participate in strategic planning and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with clinical and ancillary departments to resolve supply-related concerns.
- Support product conversions, contract changes, and value analysis initiatives.
- Provide training and mentorship to supply chain associates.
Qualifications:
Education & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, or high school diploma with 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and materials management systems.
- Ability to manage complex projects and solve problems effectively.
Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of supervisory experience with progressive responsibilities.
- 5-7 years of supply chain experience, preferably in a healthcare or acute care setting.
- Experience with ERP systems (Infor, Epic) and policy development.
- Familiarity with medical products and equipment.
