Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager
Location: Beaumont, Mississippi
Department: Safety and Environmental

Overview:
A well-established wood manufacturing facility in Beaumont, MS is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead its safety and environmental compliance efforts. This leadership role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all aspects of the site's EHS programs to ensure a safe and compliant workplace for all employees and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the site's health, safety, and environmental programs in alignment with corporate and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and enforce policies to ensure compliance with OSHA, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Deliver training programs for employees, supervisors, and contractors on safety procedures and environmental practices.
  • Oversee incident investigations, manage workers' compensation claims, and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify risks and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely reporting of all safety and environmental metrics.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders on EHS matters.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • High integrity and a proactive, hands-on approach to safety leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree required; bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as ASP or CSP are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
