A global leader in engineered materials and innovation is seeking a dynamic Health & Safety Leader to champion environmental, health, and safety (EHS) excellence at one of their key manufacturing sites outside of Hartford, CT. This is a high-impact role for a proactive professional who thrives on building programs, influencing culture, and ensuring regulatory compliance in a fast-paced, innovative-driven environment.
EHS Manager will be responsible for:
- Leading the implementation and ascertainment of EHS programs aligned with local and global standards.
- Conducting and overseeing risk assessments, compliance reviews, and safety audits to drive continuous improvement.
- Managing the procurement, use, and maintenance of safety and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Developing and delivering engaging training programs to promote safety awareness and compliance.
- Leading root cause investigations and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitoring ergonomic assessments, injury case management, and return-to-work programs.
- Collaborating with site leadership to foster a proactive safety culture through data-driven insights and trend analysis.
EHS Manager should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 6+ years of progressive EHS experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with EHS data systems and tools.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive cultural change.
