A leading food manufacturing organization is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager for its Grand Forks, ND facility. This company operates multiple production sites across North America and Europe and is recognized for its commitment to quality, safety, and sustainability. The EHS Manager will play a critical role in driving a culture of safety and compliance, ensuring environmental stewardship, and supporting risk management initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to lead strategic programs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and make a measurable impact on workplace safety and regulatory compliance.


The EHS Manager responsibilities include:

  • Develop, implement, and manage EHS programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Oversee environmental reporting and compliance for air, water, waste, and chemical management; ensure timely and accurate submissions to regulatory agencies.
  • Investigate safety and environmental incidents, maintain records, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve site performance.
  • Coordinate and deliver EHS training programs, promote safe work practices, and communicate performance updates to all levels of the organization.
  • Partner with plant leadership, corporate teams, and regulatory bodies to align site operations with global standards and drive strategic EHS initiatives.

The EHS Manager should have the following qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical field is required, along with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, risk management practices, and programs such as Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP).
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, with familiarity in hazard identification, equipment safety, and implementing EHS programs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional certifications such as CSP or CIH are preferred.
