EHS Manager
The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and leading environmental, health, and safety programs across aerospace and defense manufacturing operations. This role ensures regulatory compliance, drives risk‑reduction initiatives, and promotes a strong safety culture in a highly regulated, high‑precision production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and oversee EHS policies, procedures, and management systems in alignment with OSHA, EPA, DoD, and industry-specific requirements.
- Lead site safety programs, including hazard assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including waste management, air emissions, hazardous materials handling, and reporting requirements.
- Conduct EHS training for employees and contractors on safety practices, emergency response, and regulatory standards.
- Partner with engineering, operations, and quality teams to integrate safe work practices into manufacturing processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing risk, enhancing ergonomics, and improving facility safety performance.
- Prepare and present EHS performance metrics to senior leadership and support corporate audits.
- Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and lead responses to inspections and compliance audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of EHS experience in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Experience managing hazardous materials, industrial hygiene programs, and safety training.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Relevant certifications (CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred.
