What You'll Do:
- Champion Safety Culture: Take proactive ownership of safety for yourself, your team, and your designs - ensuring all work is performed safely and that hazards or incidents are reported and addressed promptly.
- Optimize Automation Systems: Troubleshoot and enhance PLCs, HMIs, drives, and instrumentation using a systems-based approach to maintain peak performance across high-speed production lines.
- Lead Data-Driven Improvements: Analyze operational data to identify impactful opportunities for efficiency and reliability gains, and manage automation upgrades in collaboration with the Plant Systems team.
- Collaborate & Mentor: Work closely with cross-functional teams in Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance while mentoring plant personnel and sharing best practices in controls and automation.
- Drive Projects from Concept to Completion: Lead improvement projects end-to-end; from writing specifications and justifying investments to coordinating installation, commissioning, and documentation.
- Innovate with Emerging Tech: Stay current with new technologies in controls, drives, and web handling, and lead the implementation of cutting-edge solutions that enhance manufacturing performance.
