With the purpose of reinventing future forms of profess and creating sustainable shared values for all through the power of science, this company is looking at expanding their high-performing team with the addition of an Electrical Engineering Manager.
In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers and technicians, providing guidance on design, troubleshooting, and project execution.
- Oversee electrical engineering services including design, estimating, reporting, project implementation, and maintenance procedures.
- Drive the strategic improvement and integration of automation technologies to enhance equipment effectiveness, production performance, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, and process engineering teams to implement control strategies that increase product yields, reduce energy usage, and optimize product value.
- Manage capital projects from concept through commissioning, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination of design and installation activities.
- Ensure compliance with evolving standards (NEC, OSHA, IEEE, NFPA) and communicate changes that impact plant practices and equipment.
- Provide leadership in the specification and implementation of fire alarm systems, UPS systems, control wiring, heat trace systems, switchgear, motors, starters, lighting, generators, VSDs, and MCCs.
- Maintain and improve the accuracy and integrity of electrical design documentation and drawings.
- Champion safety initiatives including NFPA 70E work practices and ARC Flash methodology across the electrical engineering function.
- Support talent development through training, performance reviews, and succession planning.
The Electrical Engineering Manager should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proven expertise in 480v Motor Controls, VSDs, and Medium Voltage distribution systems.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E and ARC Flash safety practices.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional engineering projects and teams.
