Engineering Equipment Manager
Job Description:
The Engineering Equipment Manager is responsible for overseeing the acquisition, maintenance, optimization, and lifecycle management of manufacturing and R&D equipment used in semiconductor fabrication. This role ensures that all tools and systems meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards while supporting continuous improvement and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage procurement, installation, calibration, and preventive maintenance of semiconductor processing equipment (e.g., photolithography, etch, deposition, metrology tools).
Collaborate with engineering, facilities, and manufacturing teams to ensure equipment uptime and process stability.
Lead troubleshooting efforts and coordinate with OEMs and vendors for repairs and upgrades.
Maintain detailed equipment records, service logs, and ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., ISO, SEMI standards).
Drive cost reduction initiatives through equipment optimization, lifecycle planning, and spare parts management.
Support new product introduction (NPI) and capacity expansion projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
5+ years of experience in equipment engineering or maintenance within the semiconductor industry.
Strong knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes and cleanroom protocols.
Proven leadership skills and experience managing technical teams or projects.
