An exciting opportunity awaits a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead transformative initiatives in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is pivotal in driving modernization, optimizing processes, enhancing reliability, and expanding operational capacity across facilities. The Engineering Manager will spearhead capital and expense projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and regulatory standards, while serving as a technical authority for troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a diverse portfolio of capital and expense projects from concept through execution and commissioning.
- Develop comprehensive project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource plans aligned with business objectives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to execute commercialization initiatives.
- Manage the Management of Change (MOC) process in collaboration with Operations and Maintenance teams.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety, food safety, and regulatory standards across all projects.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors to meet project milestones and uphold quality standards.
- Oversee contractor performance, ensuring adherence to plant safety and food safety protocols.
- Maintain organized documentation including equipment specifications, manuals, and records.
- Design and deliver training programs, SOPs, and preventative maintenance procedures for new equipment and processes.
- Support the development of short- and long-term capital plans aligned with facility and corporate goals.
- Mentor maintenance teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and reliability excellence.
- Identify performance gaps and implement technical solutions to improve equipment uptime and efficiency.
- Act as a subject matter expert in resolving complex technical challenges.
- Contribute to plant transformation and start-up initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
- Proven experience in plant or project engineering within a manufacturing setting, ideally in the food or beverage industry.
- Strong background in maintenance systems, reliability engineering, and capital project management.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams.
- Experience in facility transformation or start-up environments is a plus.
