Engineering Manager

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team within the chemicals manufacturing sector. This role is responsible for overseeing plant engineering operations, driving process improvements, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting capital projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical engineering, leadership experience, and a passion for innovation and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and technical staff across multiple projects and operations.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of chemical manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
  • Manage capital projects including budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, and quality assurance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Develop and maintain engineering standards, procedures, and documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies and equipment to improve operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 8+ years of engineering experience in the chemicals or process manufacturing industry.
  • 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical processing equipment, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Proven experience with capital project management and process optimization.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
